# How to combine a spread trade with PMI

In this post I am going to show an example on how you can combine data from same industry/ different industries and compare it with ISM report to see if we can find some entries. We can apply this to any equities, indices, commodities and so on.

In this case I am going to use JP Morgan and Goldman

First we acquire the data ( from yahoo finances for ex) by month

We get only the Adj Close data.

Then we divide the bigger one to the lower one and we apply the formula to all our rows.

We can apply some trends line, moving averages or other TA indicators.

Then we take the PMI data from the ISM, and we put it together with our spread trade

I uploaded the excel file as well in case you want to use it as an example

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.atraderlife.com/courses/excel-tips/spread-trade.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
